ABOUT US

Global Preschool is a nurturing early years community for children aged 6 months to 6 years, offering a Montessori-inspired, curiosity-driven program that blends progressive learning with a strong emphasis on extracurricular activities and the values of a diverse, inclusive community.

Since first opening our doors in 1996, Global Preschool has grown into one of Prague’s most trusted early years providers:

  • 2006 – Valley Campus, Prague 6 (Šárka’s Valley): Our main campus opened in a beautifully renovated villa surrounded by the quiet, picturesque countryside.
  • 2018 – Early Learners Campus, Prague 6: Purpose-built for our youngest learners — toddlers and infants — providing a warm, engaging, and developmentally tailored space.
  • 2019 – Embassy Quarter Campus, Prague 6: Expanding access to our unique program for families from other Prague neighborhoods, while maintaining close ties to our main campus.
  • 2025 – Troja Nature Campus, Prague 7: Our newest location, set in a beautiful nature setting near the zoo and botanical gardens, offering children daily outdoor learning experiences and a strong connection with the environment.

Our mission is to nurture happy, confident children who develop a healthy awareness and appreciation of others and the world around them.

We warmly invite you to visit any of our campuses and experience firsthand the joyful, engaging atmosphere that makes Global Preschool so special. Contact us to schedule your tour today.

OUR TEAM

Our staff are carefully selected for their ability to enhance our friendly, family atmosphere and bring diverse perspectives from all corners of the globe. This diversity enriches our classrooms and reflects the inclusive values of our school.

We are proud of our strong history of staff and student retention, which fosters meaningful, long-term relationships with our families. Our teachers are highly qualified, experienced, and deeply committed to our mission. Alongside Montessori diplomas from accredited programs (AMI, NAMC), many also hold degrees and certifications in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Speech and Language Development, Play-Based Learning, and Child Development.

To support every child’s growth, we work closely with a Child Psychologist, Pediatrician, and Nutritionist, as well as offer Speech Therapy, Play Therapy, and tailored support for children with special needs. Our commitment to ongoing professional development ensures our team stays at the forefront of best practices in early years education.

OUR DAY

A Day Full of Joy, Discovery, and Growth

At Global Preschool, every day is thoughtfully designed to be rich in play, learning, and exploration. Our unique approach combines the structure and focus that support developmental milestones with the freedom and creativity of child-initiated play. This balance between Montessori principles and Early Childhood best practices ensures children thrive across all areas of development — academically, socially, and emotionally.

We offer a wide range of activities and experiences that nurture wellbeing, learning, and safety — from hands-on projects and outdoor adventures to quiet reflection and creative arts.

We believe that the best partnerships are built on trust and transparency. That’s why we have an open-door policy — parents and prospective families are always welcome to step into our classrooms, see learning in action, and experience the joyful atmosphere that makes our school so special.

OUR CURRICULUM

At Global Preschool, the child is at the center of all we do. We believe that children thrive in a playful environment that supports their development of a lifelong love of learning. Children’s development is nurtured on a continuous and individual basis. Teachers gain deep insight into children’s development using observation, conversation, a standardized norm-referenced developmental screening, and meetings with parents.

Classroom experiences are planned based on our teachers’ extensive knowledge of child development and their in-depth understanding of each individual child. The curriculum is also informed by children’s curiosity, community events or resources, family interests, and topics that are worthwhile and relevant. Our program goals for children include the development of:

  • A positive self-image.
  • An enthusiasm for learning and becoming an active, self-directed learner.
  • Pro-social behavior and skills such as engaging in collaborative play, resolving conflict with others, and functioning in large group interactions.
  • Self-help skills that foster health and independence.
  • A feeling of community and the development of respect
    and empathy for others.
  • Emerging cognitive, social, language, and physical skills.
  • Confidence to reach their individual potential.
  • Nurturing the future
